So, those from DeMille's Section that were going to services were organized and long gone and the rest had just cycled in and out through the porch on the way to the galley for coffee. The only real messaging anyone cared about this morning is the snow. It is cold as hell out there and the smokers had gloves.
Tonight, it is going to dump around a foot of snow here.
The FMC is in the heart of the response to public emergencies, so we assume everything will be handled with efficiency. Which being a public service may be better than the one Melissa left on the conference table with a fifteen minute alert...
When Katz Met Garland
Melissa had an interest in the Katz story since it reflects how real estate can work in a power town where location is everything. so, she had a cool blot ready to go that featured the 12-year million-dollar Government campaign to punish the Katz deli on the Lower East Side of Manhattan where some of the section used to eat.
We think they had what she had. But that, of course in only part of an interesting story, the one told at a time when there may be some abrupt changes in how things work. We will strive this year to accomplish more restaurant reviews if it useful for messaging. Others will seek to fix this edition of the eternal human condition.
We're retired and hoping for the best. These big social changes- the ones with names- seem to occur in cycle phases around the sixty years of living memory. Or, the three age cohorts who may have shared their thoughts in person and with energy.
No one had time to try to capture the latest messaging about the Science Wars. With the snow coming, there is going to be hysteria about that along with an increase in volume about the nature of the Green messaging, for and against.
Much less whether there will be a fight about the Electoral College tomorrow with President Carter lying in State under the same dome. And a foot of snow.
Bring it on, Mother Gaia! We are committed to making it work.
